Plans include Carbon Farming, a set of ag. methods for storing carbon in the soil and biomass, a.k.a. carbon sequestration. This is laudable. However other city plans for covering land with pour-in-place (PIP) rubber or with plastic grass ("artificial turf") do the opposite. Santa Clara should be aligned in its climate resilience activities across all parks & open space. There is an entire CA Coastal Commission document on plastic: http://tiny.cc/CCC_plastic_pollution. Search "carbon" for more.
