    All "lawn" areas should use planted grass rather than Synthetic Turf. Synthetics pollute our Bay and ocean with micro-plastics. There are natural turf alternatives developed for the West and for California. Plants breathe in carbon dioxide and oxygen out. Also Synthetic Turf requires maintenance. Dirt accumulates and weeds grow in Synthetics. DIvots form. Microplastic bits flow to the Bay. Bird poop and bacteria linger. Turf heats the air more than grass and is hotter. Our City should be green.
