While Los Angeles plans to recycle 100% of the city's waste water by 2035, Valley Water merely commits to doubling recycled waste water from 5% to 10% by 2040. Given California's ongoing drought, exacerbated by climate change, we should do more. The City of Santa Clara should seize this opportunity to take the lead in recycling waste water. Imagine what farmers, home owners, wildlife and urbanites might manage with millions more gallons of potable water every day. Seize this opportunity.
