    Mayor and Council Members:

    Please vote no.

I believe that writing a check (let say $5000/Month each person) directly to the homeless people each month is a better solution than this proposed Benton Shelter. We can help more people with the same amount of funding. The homeless are not limited to the shelter; they can go where ever they want. They will truly blend in with the community where ever they reside.

    Dear Mayor and Council Members:

    Please Vote No.

Green Lighting this proposal is TAKING THE FOUNDING AWAY FROM HOMELESS PEOPLE, and giving the money to the incapable developers/operators. The people who need the founding the most, the homeless, end up with nothing.

    Dear Mayor and Council Members:

    Please VOTE NO!

The City of Santa Clara clearly should not rush to partner with LifeMoves and the County, after what they have demonstrated, that they would basically do anything, misinformation and all, just to get our City hooked. If the City decided to go forward with this proposal, it will open a bottomless big hole in our city budget for years to come.

    Again, VOTE NO!

Majority (~90%) of residents, we strongly OPPOSE!
    1) Funding and lack of accountability: huge burden on Santa Clara residents at the cost of our safety.
    2) No background checks which is a safety concern residents and homeless clients.
    3) County imposing redlining of cities like Santa Clara
    4) Misinformation from County and LifeMoves officials. They sneakily are keeping 90 units plan.
    5) Misinformation from County and LifeMoves officials. They sneakily are keeping 90 units plan.

By reading the new proposal, I found it provided wrong information!
On page 4, it credits the declined homeless population in Mountain View to LifeMoves shelter. But the actual reason is it declined because the city started to ban RV parking in the city from 2019 and fully forbidden it in 2022.
We have shared this resource and information with city council members at least five times, it is disappointing that you ignored our voice at all.

    Strongly oppose in this location
    1) Funding: Huge burden on Santa Clara
    2) No background checks or ID verification leading to safety and security concerns
    3) County imposing shelters in Santa Clara which already has a high ratio of beds per homeless in all of county while completely not enforcing in affluent cities like Saratoga
    4) Incorrect information used for distance to bus stops and market place
    6) 80-95% of residents oppose with 5k+ wet signatures.
