    It's amazing that Council Member Jain continues to lump the City Clerk position with the Chief of Police, as though they were equivalent. There is no rational reason for appointing rather than electing a clerk. Also the attached POA survey is directed. Note that company "Connect Political," bought by NEP Services in 2021, is described as a "full service political and digital strategy firm" rather than a scientifically based polling and analytical service. It is a biased vote getting enterprise.
