4. 26-16330 Action to Adopt the Vision Zero Action Plan and Approve a Recommendation for a New Position in the Department of Public Works to Support Vision Zero Plan Implementation
Please adopt the Vision Zero Plan; however, do not approve the Staff's request for a new position to support the Plan, there are alternatives not mentioned in the staff 's report.
Instead reorganize the Department. The Field Services Division employees, the Senior Engineer and Engineering Aide, could be reassigned to help with Vision Zero; some cities do not have this Division and therefore do not need a manager.
