I also support agenda item 12A for a park in 1601 Civic Center drive. There already exist a lot of new commercial/housing building constructions recently in Santa Clara city community especially along El Camino Real road. We need to protect and secure more public green zone to keep a safe and clean environment in our Santa Clara community.

I Support agenda item 12A to build a park in 1601 Civic Center drive. We need more green area. The city should do the right thing to provide a safe environment for the neighborhood here. There are already a lot of new hosing constructions recently. We need more open spaces.

I support 12A..The City cannot allow "affordable" housing to become a wedge used by developers to promote their agenda. We are the true owners of this City not developers. Who will hold Charities Housing (actually a tax-exempt entity ) accountable for 13 months of torture they put their neighbors thru? We need green space, adequate parking , and a safe neighborhood. Let's not compound existing problems by politically expedient quick fixes. A park is an affordable long term solution.

Totally support the idea of a park. It will be a great use of the space, providing fresh air and a open track for peoplpe to walk around and kids to play.

Strongly support 12A. City has been only thinking about building houses, but for building communities we need open space where children can play & adults can meet. Area around this site is already very dense & over saturated with recently completed housing projects. Additionally, the sneaky/non-transparent way Charities Housings has moved their proposal thus far raises many red flags. I request City to reject their application for exploiting loop holes & save itself from potential legal troubles

I strongly support agenda item 12A. Why a Park you may ask? Parks contribute to a healthy neighborhood, a safe environment for kids to play and grow, people to interact and grow socially and in turn contribute towards a healthy and happy county. A park will help the economy; parks create an economic benefit for both the city and the residents. Retail and businesses near parks will benefit and flourish. A park will add environmental, aesthetic, and recreation benefit to our youth and city.

I support this agenda item 12A. We are all aware of the housing shortage in California. However, this problem should not be approached in any way possible, regardless of the impact on the existing infrastructure and existing citizens and neighborhoods. High-density constructions should be developed in the areas in our city that can be designed and developed to handle high-density housing and its requirements.

I strongly support Agenda item 12A. An overwhelming number of citizens in our neighborhood want a park, not a 60' tall building with severe shortage of parking and a developer who has a track record of not protecting immediate neighbors, disregarding us and acting behind our backs. We are not against housing but it should be developed at suitable sites and not to just benefit the developers at the expense of existing communities.

I Support agenda item 12A to build a neighborhood park in 1601 Civic Center drive, to continue to promote a peaceful and orderly community.
With due respect to the City Council, our community is counting on you.
Please vote YES for agenda 12A

There’s already too much traffic noise and petty theft.

I am long time santa clara resident and stay near 1601 civic center dr. The proposed 6 floor low income housing violates the privacy of the adjacent homes, adding noise and parking congestion as well as increasing both foot and auto traffic. Alternative to have a
    community center, dog park, nursery

I am strongly in support of having a park in 1601 Civic Center Dr. Neighbors in this area need more open spaces and parks for kids to play with and grow healthly especially during the Covid period. Please help us take this forward and consider a park in our neighborhood.

Add this to the council agenda to improve the neighborhood and give people a decent living area for the prices we have paid for these homes. Currently, neighborhood parks are plagued with homeless, trash and sewer. There is no car parking and absolutely zero upkeep of the vicinity. This park is a much needed uplift to the neighborhood.

Another apartment across El Camino Real is under construction already. If we can have a park in our neighborhood, it'll benefit our community a lot.
