A park will help with quality of life here as opposed to another densed housing project that will add frustration and lower standard of living for the current residents.

Our neighborhood is very crowded and we need more open space for the residents n this neighborhood to relax and have a well balanced live. We need a decent playground for kids in this neighborhood to socialize with each other.

Strongly support a park. It’s the best thing for our climate & people’s well-being. Don’t listen to “outsiders” that don’t even live in our neighborhood!!!

We need more clean and safe place to walk and jog. The population density is way too high in this neighborhood.

I support the petition for a city park to improve the quality of the residents in our neighborhood. We have Civic center plaza but no kids playgrounds in the neighborhood. This park would be a great place for the community where children and family can enjoy!

We hope the city government can listen to the voice of the community and stop building these high density housing. These are short term solutions that are done based on careless studies.

We need more green land than housing in California. The government should listen to the voice from people who live here.

Parks play a vital role in communities providing a neighborhood with one of the most foundational civic assets

Community park is one of the only options for residents to enjoy nature and be active. In addition to the variety of amenities, community playgrounds and parks are beneficial in many other ways:
    1) Contribute to community identity
    2) Provide active and passive recreational opportunities
    3) Appeal to all ages
    4) Contribute to the health and wellness of a community
    5) Create valuable green space
    6) An effective area to encourage native flora and fauna to grow

A mixed-use park will be a driver for a more livable and equitable community. A mix-use park will allow the interaction of current low-income residents to interact socially with neighboring planned communities. 369 or 92% of students attending Scott Lane Elementary
    School are low-income.

The park would serve as a Community Hub with potentially a community
garden, composting station, community room, playground for children,
learning center close to the Title 1 School at Scott Lane, library
resource, walkways, and plants, amongst others.

I also support the petition for a city park to secure green area to improve the quality of the residents in our neighborhood. This park would be a great place for the community where children and family can enjoy walking. The park would be a better alternative to improper high density development building proposal.

This may be our last chance to have a new neighborhood park, and 1601 is the only available parcel in our neighborhood suitable for a park, and contiguous with other City properties. Our Civic Center should be a show case for future generations to come, not a block of dense housing. We also suggest that the City may propose leasing the building for some time until additional sources of funding materialize. We have made a Commitment to stay engaged and help our City through this challenge.

Absolutely, I support the need for a neighborhood park, and opposing the planned high density development proposal
    in 1601 CCD .
It’s for all ages to enjoy , with good atmosphere, clean environment through health and wellness of a community.
Best for children playground & recreational center as well . These are the amenities that our neighborhood needs
and don’t have. .It will contribute a balance green development in our neighborhood . City Council should not favor the planned property.
